Only Human

Should he have his Oscar revoked because of it and et cetera. And I don't know. There just needs to be more time. I think needs to be had to make these decisions and all that stuff. But anyway, what I want to focus on is what Will Smith said. And how he said it and his facial expressions as he said it

Irrationality must occur every now and then, even for famous people.

Things like that can happen if one does care about someone really deeply. And what I just found confusing was that when he laughed directly after the joke, that was a little bit confusing to me. But okay, maybe that just he wanted to pretend that everything might be good, something like that. But yeah, one has to understand the story behind all that to comprehend what happened

Talking about people can carry consequences. @Nora

For may the person with the highest likes that is favorable to the algorithm be able to monetize and reap the benefits and to h*** with whoever is the target. And I was thinking Chris Rock in a way represented that aspect of social media. Now, I know this didn't take place on social media. It wasn't a social media war between Chris Rock and Will Smith. But I think Chris Rock in some ways represents the power of social media

It's kind of similar to a lot of other people as well, like politicians or not saying that what they do is necessarily right or wrong, but they're human beings and they can't always be the perfect image that the public wants them to be. That being said, I'm still kind of on the fence of whether Will Smith, what you did was right or wrong. I think it was really good for standing up for your family. I don't think that his speech afterwards was

Thank you @JonathanGossett

It has to be framed in a matter of a joke. Now, I love Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock heroes in the way in which how I perceive the world and my personality. But I have to admit, there was a part of me that felt a bit happy to see Will Smith Mr. Nice Guy, stand up for himself. Now, a lot of people are rushing to rationalize why he did it, but I think he simply just didn't give a f*** anymore

Hey, Joanne. So I'm glad this event kind of triggered something within you, something positive, I guess, to kind of come out of the situation. I don't know. For me, it seemed as though it could have been handled differently. Obviously, we are all human. Things happen. People aren't perfect, considering the circumstance. He literally ruined that moment for the movie. And I feel like it will always be about the slap and not the award he received

And I think I've been in those situations myself, not where I've resorted to physical violence, but I've resorted to some sort of maybe social violence, if you will, when and I felt there was no other option, even though there was another option, but I just said to h*** with it anyway. But anyway, D, thank you for responding to this. Well

But also now that I think about it, it probably wasn't staged because I don't know, when you're a comedian, sometimes you can say things that people might not agree with. And so that probably really threw them off, like someone making fun of your wife. So it's really crazy and good for him for defending her. Maybe swapping wasn't the right thing, but I guess it was just his natural instinct to do that. And he even apologized after

Emma, thank you for taking the time to listen to this over saturated topic as I can imagine you must have heard this a billion times already but I just thought I would offer a different perspective

Hello. I feel like his Oscars should not be revoked because I feel that Chris's words, even though he's a comedian, they were fighting words, and technically he was violent first. I feel like it is well within Will's right to defend his wife. And I just feel like these situations are, like, common. And I feel like it's expected to defend your wife. And I feel like his award should be taken away because of that

Thank you @jomariexann

It seems like every other day they're pulling some old clip of Will Smith joking about a person being bald when they had alopecia on Arsenio Hall show or Jim Carrey quote, unquote assaulting Alicia Silverstone at the MTV Awards way back in the day. I think it was 97 98. I can't remember the year, but they have clips of that. They're showing clips of Chris Rock where he goes going at Will Smith

As we all know now, this escalated again too quickly and I also think that both of them did wrong because Smith for sure Google could have had handled this all a little bit different but also Rock one needs to be careful in what one is saying because words can be really mean in a way can really hurt someone's feelings, especially when it's about illness and such

Not that it's a good thing, but I'm just looking at it from a neutral point of view and I feel like depending on what people do or say, you can't really hold people accountable from what they said 30 years ago or more. To me, I feel like it is quite ridiculous and I feel that people change, but it also really depends on what they say. But in conclusion, Will should not have his awards taken away. It's within his means to defend his wife
