City Hall

article image placeholderUploaded by @ondocumentary
At four and a half hours, it's a bit of a beast to make it through, but you walk away with more of an understanding of how cities function, and also it makes politicians look like humans and a lot like Weisman films. It's ineffably gripping, it's beautifully shot with Wiseman's, calm restraint. It sounds great and the editing is masterful, with scenes unfolding slowly but in a way that completely makes sense

A review of "City Hall" by Frederick Wiseman.

Hey, I. Wow. After listening to your review of it, I went to watch a trailer of City Hall, and it looks incredible. Wow. I grew up near the city of Boston, and so I feel extra connected to it. And just the idea of being able to look inside of this government and just like it's inner workings and all the people involved, from the politicians to the citizens and the whole community, it looks incredible

Philly DA

Hey, Joshua, thank you for your post. You're doing something really cool and swell. I'm into ondocumentary. So I'm very glad that I came across your profile. I've been told that if you liked City Hall, you we should check out another PBS documentary called Philly DA. So, yeah, that's my little tidbit. And I've definitely heard a lot about City Hall, and maybe this is a sign for me to watch it. So thank you
