Mental health day

Which is a stupid thing because basically luckily for me, that I have a good support system where I can talk to my brother, my cousins, even friends that I feel like they are family because I see them so much. Luckily for me, I have that kind of support system where I can talk to certain people because I know some people do not have anybody to talk to and it ended terrible for them. The question is, how do you handle it?

Thank you and @PKBriggs

And I'm very moved by your conversation before about just how men specifically have to build trust around them so that they can sort of reveal the parts of them that might not be the stereotypical. I've got this, sweetheart. I'm going to take care of everything. Don't worry. Like, you have to be able to express your honest state of mind because there's so much strength and long

Thanks for bringing up this topic. And yeah, I have a lot of anxiety, a lot of depression, a lot of agitation, a lot of emotional discomfort, all those really fun things and and I don't always deal with it in the best way. For a long time, the only way I could really think of it was how to deal with it was alcohol. Now, I haven't had alcohol since 2016 and that leaves me with facing my feelings a lot, which is not fun

Journaling, practicing emotional independence, reflecting all my journal entries. Making a game plan, having a morning if you google morning and evening routine, there's a lot of information out there about the importance of having a morning and evening routine and how it adds to your ability to just handle the stressors of the day. Having a game plan and they're reflecting on opportunities from the day before

It's kind of, in some ways, helpful for me to speak about things in a very bare, vulnerable way, to inspire others to be just as bare and vulnerable. And then sometimes that's kind of what I need. It's all I need. Really? But, yeah, mental health is a topic that a lot of people talk about on here for great reason. It's important, and if pou don't take care of that, everything else will crumble in the process. Right

And I'm glad that you got away from alcohol because I tried that before and it didn't end well. It's like a moment. It helps for that moment, but once you sober up and you make so many mistakes and it increases your anxiety, because now you are ashamed of either what you did or what you didn't do, or what you said and what you shouldn't say. So it builds up more anxiety. But I'm glad that you did find something that helps you

@DBPardes

Thank Pou. Thank you again for your reply, and thank you for your words of encouragement, because, like like I said, you know, it takes a lot for a man to express those kind of feelings. So my wife, she was completely shocked when I actually sat her down and we talked, and she was like, I never would have thought that you suffer from this anxiety or just depression, because you seem to. Always happy, always joking

Thank you. Thank you for your response and thank you for your advice. That is actually good advice. Cause I do a lot of you know, like I said, I do a lot of writing and deep breathing exercises helps like meditation in certain things in that aspects. Reading different type of books. That helps a lot of spirituality books. Because I've never been like a big religious person, but I'm a big spiritual person

Here what he told me. I don't have to worry about that. Everybody knows that I can joke around a lot. I'm there for everybody. So if I'm coming to you in confidence, they know something is up. So thank you for your advice and thanks for your view on things, because it is interesting to hear how different people perceive the topic of mental health, because a lot in our community, we just started to take our mental health really seriously
