Demanding Respect

article image placeholderUploaded by @Binati_Sheth
The people with the least amount of decency, ethics and morals almost always are the same people who demand respect and the same kind of ethics, decency and models from you. What are your opinions about this? Because I think this is universal. The most rude, obnoxious, combative people that we know somehow always say you need to respect other people's opinions while they do not, obviously do not respect anyone's opinions that they own. Am I being too negative when I say that?

It's funny because like philosophically. Instead of trying to take and suck out of others what you think you're owed. If you shifted the focus to self in the sense that you know what you're worth. Right. And you know what you will tolerate and what you won't tolerate from other people. And then you can put in the boundary and then the consequence. And then it's up to somebody else how they choose to behave

So I think when situations like this crop up, when you are struggling with your own self esteem, self respect, with your own identity, even, because you were not even maybe you were not given the space socially, culturally, to have actual beliefs, and what you had instead all your life was acquired beliefs, right? Like you have to do this, this has to be done, that type of mentality
