Its origin is related to the year of 1947 when on 21 April, Saddar Waldaipata, Home Minister of Independent India addressed a provisional officer at All India Administrative Services Training School at Metcafe House, Delhi. He referred to civil servant as the Streel Frame of India. Every year lacks of candidates apply for civil service exam for almost 1000 posts. The objective behind the celebration of this day is to motivate and appreciate the work and efforts of civil services officers
