Negative thoughts on another hand can be triggered by boredom or visiting a place that fills you with the fear or anxiety or with a stupid social media post. Negative thoughts can be the triggered by the familiar situations also. So this is situation of the fact that negatively in the past. Your job is to locate these negative situations and experiences and make conscious effort not to avoid being in them but understand your emotional state well enough to negative navigate your way through when the trigger does occur

It feels like the sadness and the loneliness is running in our mind. So yes, we must feel happy from the inner side. The happiness is something which is being called like happiness is a state of mind. It can be state of mind but it all depends on you in a moment that in which environment you are living, which is making you sad, which is making you happy.
