I don't think you should ban books just because you don't believe it or you don't believe in it. It's not your problem. Don't read it. The thing about this country is that we all have the freedom to read what we want and what we should want. And if I'm a kid, I should be open to new ideas. If you're afraid of something changing your kids mind, I saw a meme on this the other day. You're not afraid of books

I have a distinct bias when it comes to matters of free expression and books. The correct response to concerns about speech is more speech. The suppression of speech never accomplishes the desired results. So I think you would very much like this guy. I'm going to post it here. Thanks so much for this news. It's indeed disturbing
Tim, how's it going? Thank you for the update. Books being banned is one thing that just I will never get my head around. I mean, they're being used in an educational setting, and so it just comes across as, well, it's this certain type of education you don't want people to have. It's super exclusionary, just kind of weird, man. I don't quite get it. It's similar to burning books, right?

Of course, when there are adults they can read whatever they want. But I felt what you said is also right, that if you ban a book, generally it says and it's reading always tends to go up just because of the rebels spirit of some people. They want to find out what is so wrong in that book. Okay, but all in all it was the right move from the public library in my opinion
So I agree with you on parents being able to raise their kids, but it shouldn't be done at the expense of other kids who are seeking knowledge. And to be fair, these aren't like graphic books. These are books that are titles with, like Mary Has Two Moms. It's like just teaching kids about tolerance and that some family dynamics are different. So this is an important thing for this

But if that is so, that's a d*** shame because it is information, and I believe in the power of information, and I believe in the power of knowledge. And that's that hopefully things can get turned around in the area that you live and are speaking of in your swell. I'm going to do my part and reach out to other parents in my neck of the woods and lean in and be a little bit more curious. Thank you for this
