Chess Scandal: Did Hans Cheat?

article image placeholderUploaded by @daily
And I'm curious whether there are bigger chess heads out there that can tell us whether just kind of what upset this is. Is this a high school kid that plays recreational, defeating Novak Djokovic out on the main floor? I mean, just how monumental is this? And there's a lot of analytical experts that say, yeah, it's possible, but it's less than 1% and that it really shouldn't happen

Cheating accusations are becoming more prevalent in our society https://s.swell.life/STHtygt3pih7YrO

There's something more that people are not telling us. Maybe we will find out. But it's perfectly possible that he played well and it is fair and it is a scandal, because, as he said, people need to make something out of it. Because it's unprecedented. Because he's unprecedented in the sense that he has become so good so quickly

I think it seems to be that everyone's looking for the darker side of something or the nefarious actor who's not even there to sort of distract us from the fact that this person probably just played a really good game of chess. And where will this end? Like, are people becoming coming so cynical that nothing's pure anymore? Games are no longer pure. I know there's been cheating in sports since the beginning but just want to comment here that the win itself is so extraordinary
