I don't consider it an Oscar winning performance at all compared to other things this year. I just am sad because I came to this movie wanting something, expecting something, and it fell flat for me. So there's my review. Tell me I'm wrong. Tell me it was a great performance. Tell me that it wasn't just a part of the Williams PR machine to get more attention for them because they're incredible
No, I haven't watched this movie yet, but definitely the actor doesn't have a strong goal or motivation running through it. And I feel like sometimes to be like an actor, you have to create that. It might not be inherently there. You kind of have to do some Liberty and say, this is the goal. I'm deciding this and make it very apparent. Yes, I make that choice for us because then the plot goes along well and then the whole needs started

Oh, Liv, thank you for your reply. You bring up some really good points, and I would love to say more, but you haven't seen the movies, so I'm having a hard time. But I agree with you in a general way that absolutely there are many instances of an actor overcoming a bad script, bad direction, and just taking the Bull by the horns and turning, making something out of nothing

Because I feel like what we see a lot of these in Hollywood with big Marvel movies, stuff like that, it's just all about pizazz and there really is no depth add to the characters. Sometimes with movies with big sustaining plus, you really don't need that. But I think what you're saying about this movie, I have to watch it. They're offered for free at my College. I have to go see it

So they should just not call the movie King Richard. Instead, they should just call it the Williams family, which that would have been fine. Then I would have gone, oh, I'm going to learn about the family that the Serena sisters grew up in. That's great tennis affected them and different things like that would have been a fine movie.
