Did you go to the college you planned on?

That's kind of what I meant. More so I was supposed to be going to the University of Oregon. I was so excited to go there. I had accepted it. I was in my housing application. I was so set on going. And then about a week before school started, I decided not to go. Different factors for sure consisted for that one didn't go and I came to Santa Barbara City College and then, yeah, that was pretty much that one

But come freshman, sophomore year of high school, I got a little more realistic and became deadset at on UCSB and ended up getting in and never looked back. I think it's just like the atmosphere of SP and education from UC was like all I really needed, so couldn't be happier

And then the transfer and I never even thought of going to UCSB at all. But then I had some friends who were talking to me about how they run SBCC and I was like, oh, I'll just do that. So I never had really an intent to go to either one of those schools. Like, it was never like a big thought in my mind. It was just like it just happens. That makes sense

And on top of that, it seemed like if one person got into a school, it was where the other person really wanted to go. For example, I wanted to go to UNC. Keenan Flagler really had a great visit. And when I got a waiting list from them and another one of my friends got in and I'm like, you stole my spot there. But as it turned out, I went to the University of Minnesota

I cannot imagine going to Oregon now and not have gone to USB, even though that was not even a consideration. I didn't even apply at the time. So going to Santa Barbara City College and then transferring was a total thing I never even heard of. And then I just ended up doing it

I definitely think it's honestly very lucky that we're did not get into some of our top choices or that we decided not to go to them because it ended up being for the better

And now looking back, I'm so glad that I didn't get into USC because I really don't think I would have enjoyed it, and I don't think I would be the person I am today. And I am very comfortable as the person I am today. If I had the opportunity, though, I think I would definitely go to boulder for my masters. I don't think I want to pursue a masters immediately after I graduate. This is my last year at cal poly
