article image placeholderUploaded by @Binati_Sheth
I am personally a non fiction editor so if you send me a nonfiction book I can very specifically pinpoint the issues with your book and even within nonfiction there are classifications made right. But I hope that this is clear that you the writer can turn into an author by turning your draft into a manuscript by hiring Editors and beta readers or Alpha readers, you can prepare your alcohol advanced review copy and get published by one of three popular publishing formats. Which is traditional publishing, self publishing or hybrid publishing?

And then you have to wait for these platforms to publish to process your book and voila your book is in the market. Right? As I said, we will do different writing and beyond on techniques you can use to books your books in self publishing. But if you handle the marketing right, the self publishing is incredibly profitable and it is much less headache inducing than traditional and hybrid publishing onto writing publishing. Book Agents, Query Letters and Traditional Publishing

And if you do get a yes from a publishing house, Congratulations, you're getting traditionally published. With hybrid publishing houses you can directly approach them because with hybrid publishers you don't really need booking agents and such, so that wouldn't be an issue. Yes, I hope that is clear. So in this one we described query letters and agents why you need an agent and to get an agent you need a query letter and onto the next one

But yeah, if you are in the process of doing this right now, please don't just be happy that an agent finally responded. Ask them questions. Very specific questions, especially about how they will take care of your interests. You do not want an agent that is only into earning money. More money. You want an agent that is also going to protect the integrity of your book. Okay, so that is important. So we have discussed major terms pertaining to publishing as a whole

BISAC (bisg.org) Categorisation, evergreen/frontlist/backlist, Bleeds, margins and gutter #askswell

Those books come out during sale period and then they disappear again. That's a backlist. Front list is a new book title from a relatively new author or like an influencer type author that is very reliant on, let's say marketing efforts. As long as the marketing efforts will run, those books will sell. And then mostly no. Right. So that's the back list and the front list

Library classifications and copyright

Because if libraries receive heavy demands for certain books, they might actually approach you. Like, do you want your book to be listed on blah, blah, blah? And you can go, yes, of course. Why not? So, yeah, that is definitely important. On to copywriting. So copywriting is important. One thing that you need to remember is copywriting dates your book also
