And on my Wavesofcommunication.com platform, I provide resources and strategies that parents can use to incorporate every day that normalizes these connected experiences in their life, beginning with everyday tasks and fun exploration and good old play. So with so many people aware of this issue and feeling the effects even in your families, I'm curious to know what you believe

And the pace it's going at really is a little bit concerning when talking about the kids that are growing up right now and what their future is going to look like with their technology use and social media and all of that

I also noticed your new voice in the Mental Wellness Channel. And so I wanted to welcome you and just let you know that I look forward to hearing more of your swallows and on what you have to share, because I can already tell I'm very interested in that. We definitely have the same interest in this topic. Thank you

You're the one that makes the choice to pick up the phone and you're the one that chooses to find the situations to put it down. And if it takes literally leaving the area where they function and that's what it's got to do. I love that inventiveness about it. You know yourself, you know your friends, and you're also together in your evolution of moving out of this tech addicted phase. So kudos to you and your friends. Enjoy the outdoors and I love the suggestion

@MarciMelzerWOC. Unpopular Opinion

There aren't enough people with the skills and tools in their tool belt to counterbalance this idea of let's blame technology. Thanks for listening. I'm very sorry to get animated there, but I struggle with a conversation that says get the technology out of our kids'hands and have them communicate and connect with people. When we're all communicating and connecting with people through our device and our phone

Things like getting out. Things like creating spaces that are safe and the reasons that you talked about that children could be late talking that you don't see with your older population you work with. Again, it comes down to other people had commented about how parents are afraid to let their kids interact with other kids because of the outside that was brought up by another listener. So I would encourage you to go back and contribute to that thread because a lot of this comment was about that

Lead by example!

And as a parent, then your kids are seeing that you're not on your phone and you're not always stuck inside, just hiding away from everyone else, and you're going out and being social with other people. And I think that really has a big role on how they're interacting with the world, how they see the world and how they learn to navigate it

I'm 61 and I guess I'm tech savvy enough to get by. I don't have to do it in school and get good grades with it and they do use it quite a bit. I'd have to say my motivation for tech addicted kids would be grandma and ice cream. That does it every time
