First shoutout

Leave your comments and your reviews on all matters about metaphysics and personal development, about spirituality and meaning and purpose of life, relationships is important. Career attitudes, your beliefs, your values, your ethics. This is, as you know, most likely a program about self awareness so that touches on all things. If something existed and you were not aware of it, then essentially for you, it does not exist. So while learning to expand our awareness, we open ourselves to a whole new reality

So I tend to want to listen to it more, and I trust that it is part of me and maybe a deeper part of me. You have a radio voice, of course. So you have this double thing where you're out there projecting your ideas that come from your mind. And I just wonder what's happening in your mind when you're hearing your voice projected out, especially on radio waves. And now here on Swell

Sometimes I would get an idea as I speak and just throw it in there radio program or public speaking or talking to a friend, whatever. So anyway, my first exchange on Swell. Thanks for diving and hope you'll consider joining us on the Sunday morning Zoom class. Just go to Michaelbenner.com clicking on free Zoom class. Thanks over and

Hey there. What a great conversation. Angels wisdom. Thank you for throwing this into the mix. It thought it reminded me of, you know, my learnings around meditation and mindfulness and spirituality already. And thanks, Deborah, for posing that question. It was really interesting to hear just the wisdom speak about radio voice and projecting there. This makes me think of the analogy I always come back to around the monkey mind or the inner chatter and being the person experiencing life or whatever

Hi Michael. Thank you for this conversation. I really love talking about this topic. It made me think of back. I think when I was like 20, read the book The Four Agreements, and that was my first kind of opening of thinking about the way I speak to myself, my monkey brain, monkey mind. I also will always remember the story of when I was with friends on the beach and someone had the slack line where you stand up and you have to walk on this tight rope

Michael, this is a great post that really connected with me. I liken this experience to the same concepts as "trusting your gut."

And what I've learned is that my trauma, my experience, my life experience has really colored my gut instincts to things and really flavored that voice in my head. And it's not always right. It's not always right. And my gut can often lie. And so the practice for me is really to learn to listen to those feelings and to understand them, but not necessarily immediately react or respond or act on them because I don't have all the information

How can we consistently apply things so that we get closer to our capital H higher self? Feel like I'm rambling up all that made sense. I'm so glad I came across this webcast of yours. Thank you and to everyone for the conversation

That's the word I'm looking for. Add to them, et cetera, all of that. And we continue to do that as we go through life. So again, using that description of machine learning and we're sort of a product of our memories, we're a product of that interwovenness, and yet we slapped a label of I on it. Regardless of whether the eye is actually similar to an AI machine or something like that, the simplistic language or understanding serves a different purpose, right

Hey, Ryan, I love that quote, and I've heard it before, and I find it really moving in the context of this conversation and also in the context of the other conversation that you and I had earlier when you first came on the platform about identity and knowing our own voice, not connected to how other people hear our voice, but to know our own voice first

Well, it's been a busy Saturday, so I haven't checked my new Swell account here for about a day and a half. And I'm really thrilled this evening to to hear from all of you. And what an intelligent and yet heartfelt round of comments and conversation. I'm just thrilled. It so reminds me of my old telephone talk shows on the radio

If you treat the person that's in your life as if they're your King or your Queen, then you should have no problems in return. As far as career wise, balancing out with a relationship when you're at work, you're at work. When I leave my job, it stays behind me. I don't ever take my job home. To me, that's like the balance of a good relationship seems to work for me

Are we not unique? I hope we are.

This is a great question, and I don't really know the answer to it. Are we the voices in our head that we're hearing, or is that just a layer of our consciousness? If you Peel that back, our core is below that, and it's further down, and our core is really who we are. Are we just covered in that sense of, like, personality, as Deborah said? But when we really get down to it, that's not who we are

It's very positive, very solution oriented, the source of illumination and the AHA experience, which is so wonderful. And it all comes up through the unconscious. So it gets a little confusing that the unconscious can be the source of fear and negativity, but also inspiration and enlightenment. And we need to remember the conscious mind is not a different mind. It's just that part of the mind that we're aware of

From my understanding of your response, you're saying that all those voices and that negativity sort of dies away and calms down and goes away. When we're able to get into really, like, meditative zone, we're just very aware and we're trying to calm ourselves and settle all of those voices. So you're saying that it's sort of like that blank space in between those voices that we're able to grasp when we're able to quiet them down

It's a lot of I me mind and a lot of defensiveness, and I'm right and others have wronged me. I'm a victim. Whereas the still small voice of the intuition, the consciousness of the soul, if you will, is much more harmonious and even unified with a greater good. There's very little evidence of I need mine in it. But what a great query. Appreciate it. Thanks a lot. Look for you down the page
