"Philosophy is dead!"

If they gain sentence and they are able to go back and look at video footage or records of some kind and find out that these things happened, is that going to affect things? And if so, do you know what I mean? We could go down this rabbit hole and there's so many different ways you could push it not simply for the sentient new being in front of us but how it affects us

But there are several organizations there's like ten or twelve that are all about the ethics of AI and looking at the values and the philosophy behind this whole new revolution of innovations that don't threaten but challenge us to make sure that we're doing the right things at the right time with the right people and the right people are doing who have the power making decisions with thoughtfulness. And that's just a utopian world that we know we don't live in anymore

@DBPardes Thank you!

Thank you. This is of interest at just skimming the headlines on the website. I'm encouraged because I'm always looking for other people or organizations that want to and do to blur those lines between siloed thinking the way we seem to have done things, at least for the last period of time in history. And so instead of science in its corner and philosophy in its corner, et cetera, et cetera, the melding of these things. And so I'm intrigued by the headlines at the very least

Yeah, it was do it if you want to otherwise be on your many ways per the AI thing, it's really interesting. Every research or like raw research, not completed research that I've read on this thing where AI is fed like these queries. Right. Stuff like where do we come from? Where do we go? These are two questions that I'm particularly fascinated by

I don't know why, but when you mentioned that you hope to be alive when sentience, you know, presents itself within AI, that you would still be alive. Like, there are a lot of things I think about in that way, but for some, some reason, this was not one of them. And I don't know if it's because I didn't want to think about it, if I didn't expect it to happen in my lifetime or what

In that when you have the kind of cognitive capacity to compute information and then infer and conclude and all of this with break next feeds, would it really matter what random human beings are talking about and asking each other every day? That is why I want to be allowed when this kind of sentience happens. Because the kind of questions that we ask versus the kind of questions they ask with sentience, that would be really interesting to see. Right? So yeah, that was where I was coming

And so I need to go poking around on this. But to tie these two things together. Yeah. I think I need to see some of these things. I think I do. Thank you so much for the conversation
