What up, boys and girls? This is Traavana. The picture I posted today was taken during one of my trips to the Silent Valley National Park, located in the Palaka District of Kerala. One can reach this National Park both through Palakad and Kwambato. There is a beautiful road that connects both Palakat and Kambato through the Silent Valley route. Silent Valley National Park is a beautiful representation of the last remaining rainforests of Kerala, the core of the new Greek Biosphere reserve
I remember going to this short Trek with one of the guys who actually took us was a local and he was from this village called Athpadi, which is a tribal settlement on the outskirts of the reserve forest. And they were a very interesting set of people. And all through the track, I had a great time listening about their culture, their way of life, and all the controversies that have surrounded these bunch of people
But this was like a beautiful, beautiful place and one that will forever stay in my memory and a place where, quite literally you hear nothing but the sound of just the forest and your own breathing. So I guess you can picture peaceful and quiet. That was for both the heart and the soul
