By the time the fire was up, it started to get dark. We stood by the fire for a while, but still we were not able to buy the chilliness. It had become fully dark by then, so return was not even an option. So we got all the things inside the tent and sat inside, but without the campfire and its heat. We were not able to sit inside the tent. The temperature started plummeting drastically
Never in my life have I ever been so relieved to see the sun rise. The next thing that immediately came to my mind was my junior spring. With my heartbeat rising, I touched him to wake him up. His skin was freezing chill and he didn't respond to my voice. I took his wish to check for pulse but couldn't find one. I was literally about to cry. I didn't know what to do, what to tell his parents, or how to handle the situation
