"…And I saw a note on one of the websites I follow that today is the day on this day that Van Halen dropped their debut album and it was titled Van Halen. And I was thinking about it. I was in high school early high school, and I just remember how big other group was because I went to a mixed high school and how big Van Halen was to the masses because they were so different.…"

"…I believe when MTV came about and we had videos and we really saw other videos and it was all David Lee in those videos and just pushed Van Halen to the top and everything, I think they would have been very successful just because of their musical talents and the guitar of Eddie and everything. That kind of secured his legacy.…"

"…So I was a big fan of David Lee Roth, and I remember watching his videos on MTV when I was a kid, when he started doing his solo stuff with like, Yankee Rose. And the videos were just hilarious, man. They just cracked me up as a kid and I couldn't wait for them to come on MTV. So yeah, I was a Roth guy, and I went back and listened to that first Van Halen album and what a great album.…"
