A mask for Fall

article image placeholderUploaded by @Tim
I was co teaching at our church's Parish retreat on the topic stories that heal, and we wanted to take people through some time to reflect and create a narrative about where they are now, kind of socially, psychologically and spiritually, having lived through so many months of the COVID-19 pandemic. But it was also a chance to be away from home, away from routine, away from social media

Autumn leaves (native oaks in California) form a #mask - how do you present yourself on #SocialMedia #Instagram ?

Interesting and fun!

I should make masks as well. In the autumn. It's possible there are some pumpkins leaves and also beans and so on. So plenty of stuff. Provided one house, some glue. I should first buy some glue. Yes. Good idea

@dzakyem

So when I hear your audio or see your photos on social media or your tweets, I don't know you. I know a curated version of you that you are curating now. It might be honest, and it might not be so in that sense, it is a mask. It is a screen or a window through which I can infer what you might be like. But I'm not getting a complete picture on my Instagram page. I say we all present a false face on Instagram
