Have you read any of the Best Books of 2022?
So that is probably at the top of my list as far as the Best of 2022 here, insofar as what I might be reading in the next couple of months in addition to Jennifer Egan's latest, and that is just because I love Jennifer Egan A Visit from the Goon Squad. Her novel from years ago is one of my all time favorites, and I have been meaning to read all of her novels since then

Hey, Paul. We want to thank you for posting this list and for asking the question. And I did not read any of these books, and they all look kind of juicy, especially the nonfiction, surprisingly. So it's great to have this list as a goal

And then they start reading it and they either experience that I do not understand the high paramedic phenomena or they experience the how is this book making it and mine isn't. Depression. I think either of those phenomenons aren't constructive. I think these lists are very good for authors. They help book sales and therefore I would not say we do away with them. I simply believe that these lists, there are two readers at least, they are definitely great ways to discover all sorts of books

Hey, Deb. Thank you for this. It's interesting what you were saying about your reading habits because I've been going through something similar where I absolutely love reading before bed because I feel like it's one of the few things that relaxes me unless I'm reading a book that's just like a total page turner and then I might stay up well past my bedtime

I know that it's really difficult to quantify what's considered the best books of 2022. Are they the best because they sold the most? Are they the best because the publisher that agreed to buy and sell this book had a big budget for marketing for this particular title based on current trends and themes and other things that they predicted would sell the best around the time the book was published?
