STOP "Should-ing" all over yourself

article image placeholderUploaded by @ThriveLauraMonk
And you feel better when you use the words can, would, or sorry, can, will, or want to. All right? So catch yourself when you're shooting all over yourself. Catch yourself when you're using the word should and replace it with one of those three options, all right? And watch how it kind of really helps you become stronger and healthier over time. You will notice this. So it's very, very important that we watch the words we use with ourselves

🌱 Laura explains why we can stop "should-ing all over ourselves. #mentalhealth #mentalwellness #words.

Yes. I love this practice of just being mindful with what we speak. I oftentimes will mention this to people, but then sometimes become complacent in my own day to day. And I think it's so important to remember that every moment is an opportunity for mindfulness practice and to be aware of every single words that leaves the mouth is a great way to dive into that mindfulness meditative life practice. And it gets easier

You. Thank you so much for visiting my podcast and replying and giving me your insight. I always appreciate that as well, and absolutely. Thoughts are things. Thoughts carry energy and actually manifest into things. And I wish I had known this when I was in my teens and 20s. No one ever taught this stuff to me before, so I want to spread the word and get people to understand how important and valuable and serious their words actually are
