Four they inherently don't feel good enough and constantly feel they need to prove themselves. This triggers their sense of self worth again. Five they were not allowed as children to have opinions and were likely shut down for having their personal point of view and therefore never learned how to calmly and effectively express themselves. They are essentially now making up for it by going in the opposite direction. The pendulum is swinging the other way, so to speak. They are overcorrecting

The belief being if I'm not in total control, then my life will fall apart. Not realizing that by being a control addict their life will even more likely fall apart. They win the battle but lose the war, essentially. 14. Habit. That's what they've always seen and that's how they've always done it. It's often very hard to rewire the brain to do things differently. 15. They never learned alternative tools
