Now, the past, if we get stuck in the past, which means if we get stuck in our memories, that's usually what leads to depression, is ruminating on the past or thinking about the past or regretting the past. So depression tends to come from being too much in our mind, in the past, in our memory. And then, conversely, anxiety tends to be rooted in the future. So that is rooted in our imagination
