How is India doing today?

How do you feel about the state of India today? It's a somewhat complex question when you think about it, but it all depends on the perspective that you approach this question from. Are you an economist closely tracking the aftermath of the budget? Are you an entrepreneur scaling up your business? Maybe you're a journalist closely watching the elections which are underway in numerous States, or you could just be someone who's interested in looking at this question from all of these vantage points

But if we look at this indicator, which is consumer sentiments, consumers have been a little more pessimistic and it's only now that we are seeing in the month of February that their sentiments have improved. So that's a very positive feature. Another important factor that has slowly picking up is the credit growth by banks. So till now banks were advancing loans only to households and retail investors

That's the best thing, the sweetest thing about democracy, that you might not be happy with the government, but no government is going to stay forever. So that's about it. That, I think, is what India for me today is

Hi, Karan. Thank you for inviting me to this conversation. How is India faring today? Where does India stand today? I'll use cricket as a metaphor and I'd give a wider perspective in just the past few weeks. I think if you look at it in a 1520 month, 1215 months horizon, you'll see the kind of rollercoaster ride that Indian cricket has had
