For reference, you can refer the book called The Book of Indian Ghosts by Reksunda Banerjee. It consists of the brief account of most of the creatures reported, seen or told in stories. Though I'm not saying that all of this information and stuff is real and authentic, but I guess some of them are indeed written based on true experiences and true accounts in India. If you're talking about paranormal, then how can we miss the black magic and aghires?
