6 y/o shot their teacher at my former school district
So I feel like we need to have open conversations with, I guess, our kids, I would say. Yeah, our kids. I don't have kids myself, but we need to have open conversations with our kids, parents, teachers, the community, and figure out what is the issue. Is it because so much social media going on, no one's really communicating about their feelings, how they feel, and they're just so quick to grabbing a weapon and shooting someone

They meet each other only once a year, whether that's Thanksgiving or whether that's Christmas. It's not that tight knit family groups growing together. You're growing up with a whole bunch of cousins and so on. And the whole concept of certain cultural values, religious values being passed on to children, for them to think about certain things and ponder about it and understand how they fit in with the larger society and so on

I can only imagine how much more difficult this is for you because of the proximity and how close a home it is to you. I mean, being in a building that you have actually been in has just got to be difficult. And for me, when I heard it, I was disgusted and kept on asking a number of how questions. Hey, Sierra, I am so sorry that this is hitting so close to home for you. It's unfortunate, but it's something that is becoming more and more and more common for every American these days. I think at this point you'd kind of be hard pressed to find people that haven't been directly affected by gun violence or know somebody that has. It's just preposterous us that we keep allowing this sort of thing to happen. And I say allow because it's very much preventable
That kid must have been like the teacher probably embarrassed him, probably yelled at him, told him to go to time out. You don't get to play with the other kids today. You don't get no recess for you. No recess for you. You're sitting in time out. And he's just thinking, he's like, okay, this b**** is going to take my son away from me. She's going to embarrass me in front of the class
