Digital Branding

article image placeholderUploaded by @TheSalesCoach
What's up everybody? Its Caitlin, the sales coach. Want to jump on here really quick and talk about digital branding and in particular want to talk about LinkedIn profiles. Now your clients or recruiters or people that you're trying to attract to your particular service are going to look at your LinkedIn. And having a digital brand of sorts is extremely important today, right?

Hey, Caitlin, I wanted to ask you a question about you use the phrase digital branding in reference to places like LinkedIn. And I think what's interesting about the cross section of digital branding and just branding is really a matter of context because there's something super flat and predictable about LinkedIn. Even though we can have rich media and we can link people to great things that show more sides of ourselves, it definitely is limited to that elevator pitchy kind of energy

And the College of Business at San Diego State is fabulous at teaching us how to create an online digital brand and get our point across in resumes and just really I found that I'm great now at formulating out in words on paper who I am, what I believe, and what I'm passionate about, my past experience and skills, all that. But what I'm struggling with more now is the anxiety behind living up to that brand in person in the interview process

Hey, Cat, I'm interested to see what Caitlin thinks about this as well. It's a great question. It's sort of in line with my question, you know, the cross section between real life and digital branding, but specific to to the interview process. It's really interesting that you're bringing that up

I think that individual should be reaching out directly to hiring managers in regard to the company that they're interested in. Maybe there's a certain domain or vertical that this company is in that you're interested in. Maybe there's a leader that you've loved, their projects that they used to do, and you're passionate about that. Right. But I think when you come to an interview, you should really realize, hey, why am I here today?
