I Declare A Renaissance

article image placeholderUploaded by @TheGentYYC
That's a game changer. We can expect what has happened with solar to happen to many, if not all of the other climate solutions. And ultimately, if what we're looking at is not just the two great big superpowers, but if all of the countries start to recognize, hey, we better participate in this or we're going to get left behind and rest assured they will be left behind

And I think that if countries don't sign on to it right now, then you're just going to be left behind on this new revolution that's potentially starting would love for this to be true and looking forward to it

I’m on board AND I need someone to connect the dots

But given the way that and I'm speaking about the United States here, but there are plenty of other countries, the way the United States responded to the COVID-19 crisis. There's a plenty of other ills that the crisis reveals. Then I'm not sure plentiful and sustainable energy will make easier, maybe wrong. Help me connect the dots. Anyone one

Yeah. Responding here to Tim. Yeah, it's a legit question. I guess I feel like if the world world comes together on energy and all of us are working on that, and that's a great big, positive thing. And one of the sort of teachable moments that coalesce is, hey, we can do better than we've been doing. We can change the way we do stuff because it's hurting us. It's killing us

@Tim Climate & Capitalism

Let me phrase that again, because I feel like I'm working through it. As I'm saying it aloud to you, is it possible to rectify and seriously address the climate crisis under capitalism? I'm not sure. And so this doesn't necessarily address your question. And I think it's kind of taking it into a different direction. But I am curious what your thoughts are about that if you think it's even possible

@bowie

So I think there is harmony here, even when it comes to energy. And one of the examples that I point to is nuclear fusion. So it's the European countries, including the UK, that funded one of the largest studies of making nuclear fusion potentially possible
