Whats your favorite documentary?
And in many ways, this documentary is really on point, like so many parallels as far as the movie itself, it's kind of scary, actually, how much this stuff really just connects. And it's just so well made, so good. And I definitely recommend it. That was probably the first documentary that really got my attention, but probably my favorite for obvious reasons. It's called Batman and Bill. And I believe it's still on Hulu

I love documentaries, and I have to say that my favorite one is definitely Hoop Dreams. Not even a close second. This really was for me. Yes, I like basketball. Yes, I grew up playing in the 80s, so I really resonated with this. However, I see it as much more than basketball. I really see this as a picture of American life. And you see religion in there

Hey, you ask a lot of great questions in terms of associating movies and film to life and just the parallel between the two and how it influences us and impacts us. I have three documentaries and the three that I am going to list. First one up is I'll start with Michael Jordan's documentary. I am not able to remember the name of it. It was like a five part series on, I believe, Netflix or Hulu. That was maybe about three ish years ago

Hey, Taylor, it's Theo. Thank you so much for chiming in. And absolutely one that I wouldn't say fell off my radar, but I hadn't seen it in a while. And it is so good. And it definitely is definitely quite different as far as, like, what people might think a documentary is. And that's definitely to its credit

And I always love movies and experiences like that where you kind of look at it, and this is one of those few documentaries that really does that, because documentaries are obviously presented in such a way to present things, but Theo also give kind of certain perspectives. A lot of this movie, what makes it so great is that it is very much there
So it was definitely later in my life as well. But it's crazy, like, how many people my age just have no clue who he is, and his work is just so influential to so many different filmmakers. Not just filmmakers, but artists all over the world. Him and the mandalorian. Good. So good. Similar to you. My brother and I were just like, oh, my God, it's Werner Herzog

Trajectories, like, how did we get to this place? And even with obviously I looked up a little bit of it. Obviously, these are terrible events. I'm one to kind of look into, well, how did it get to that point? How did we get here? And kind of the steps as well as missteps along the way. So I'm very curious to check it out. And tiger king. Oh, man. I have trouble thinking that's a documentary

And there's a scene with young Spielberg where he meets John Ford. And this is a story that Spielberg has told over many, many years. And, of course, the story of such a prominent filmmaker and somebody who has indelibly been a part of all our lives. When I first heard about this movie being made, it's like, well, yeah, of course you want to hear that guy's story

I just wanted to come back and first and foremost, out of respect, say, cause I heard you mentioned you were in basic training, so that lands for me that you must have been in the military is I wanted to first and foremost say thank you for your service. And lastly, just a small bit to add when you got to the Tiger King part of my comments and you were like, I had a hard time believing that was a documentary. Let's say I completely understand
