3 Steps to eat with your body and not your head

article image placeholderEp 141
Hello there. So on this week's episode on the how to Love Your Body Podcast, we talk about the three steps to eat with your body and not with your head. So what we find is is when people are really stuck in their head, that's when they most likely are telling us like, oh my gosh, I feel so full. Why did I do that? I don't feel good in the body, and all of that isn't inherently wrong or bad

Tune into this week’s episode on How to Love Your Body https://bit.ly/howtoloveyourbody #intuitiveeating #bodyimage #nondiet

Embodiment

I don't want you to have to repeat yourself, but I know something that I've been learning a lot more about over the years is this idea of embodiment and being more in touch with your body. And I'm curious if that is something that either of you have really had to practice and just like what you know in general about embodiment and how that relates to eating with your body and not your mind

Thank you! And yes, embodiment!

There's a five phase process to the Undy, and one of the phases is to embody intuitive eating because there is a big difference between knowing a lot about intuitive eating and gaining all the knowledge and reading the book and just logically knowing stuff. And there's a big difference between embodying intuitive eating and actually viscerally feeling what's going on in the body when you actually are eating, when you're choosing to eat, when you're thinking of food

Some thoughts before I give it a listen 💛

And so what I've kind of realized is that instead of striving to love my body, what's more realistic for me now as a goal is to be neutral towards my body, to see the body more as a functional aspect of my life, a crucial aspect to my life, in order for me to maintain my intuitive eating and in order to maintain syncing with my body and listening to the body when I eat instead of to my head
