Standing desks...yay or nay?

article image placeholderA Standing Desk Changed My Life—It Can Save Yours Too
I just came across this article about standing desks and I've always sort of wanted one, but I don't really have a solid opinion about whether or not I should get one how good they are. They're oftentimes a lot of money and quite at the investment, but I don't mind investing in something that's going to have a significant payout or return. I was curious. Swell community. Any of you out there have a standing desk or just prefer standing while you're working

I have one....✅

I was the stage manager in the theater. So if you're going to a live theater and you're seeing the audience looking at the stage on the right hand side of the stage behind all the scenery is what is known as prompt corner. And that's where the deputy stage manager and stage manager hang out and basically call the show. They call the lights and the sound and the scenery changes and all those kinds of things

An adjustable desk maybe?

So if you are healthy enough to be standing for an entire work day, you may want to give it a shot. My feet will kill me if I were to try to pull such a stunt. But there are some desks that can be adjusted so they can be sitting or standing desks. So if you don't feel fully committed to the idea, you might want to take a look at those adjustable desks so you can use it as a stand desk

Reply to Roberto! 👍😁

Actually, Roberta makes a really, really good point. I forgot to say yes. Mine is adjustable because there are some times when you actually have to sit down at a desk or it's really handy to sit down at desk, such as during those super long and super boring Zoom. Sorry meetings

@DameDivaDan @RobertoC_73 @Taylor Get the Compression Mat!

So much neck and shoulder pain and headaches avoided because of my stand up desk. It completely revolutionized my world. I'm addicted to it. Definitely get the adjustable, though, because it's really nice to have the choice and absolutely invest in a compression match to stand and nice to meet you everybody

I have two standing desks! 😆

I like to constantly change the look and feel in my office. It's just the way I am. I've been like this since I was a kid, so they're on wheels. I get to move things around. And given that I do some video stuff and audio production, it's good to be able to do that. I'll be standing for a few hours, and then when I get fatigued, I'll sit down and then get back up again

And I think, Veradesk, this is a thing that is adjustable. It's ridiculously expensive. But if you want a really sturdy thing that will both go up and down, you probably find it there. And given the current situation where a lot of people are working from home and a lot of the offices are vacant or companies have gone out of business, you may be able to find some good deals unless people working from home are scooping up the stock. Right?
