Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year. Not because I dress up and go receive candy, but because it is a time for me to let my inner horror movie nerd really shine. Horror is one of my favorite genres of filmmaking and of storytelling in general. I've liked it for as long as I can remember, getting scared watching the Stephen King made for TV movie of it when I was, like eight years old and never really looking back
Just a quick note to say that shame on me. I've never actually watched this movie or any Halloween movie all the way through. I've seen five minutes of it here and there on TV when it's been on, but I really ought to go back and watch it. And now I feel especially inspired to do so because I'm super impressed that John Carpenter both directed and did the score. I had no clue about that, and I think that's really cool
