Sound of Metal and The Trial of the Chicago Seven Mink is leading the pack here with ten nominations, a film that I have yet to see, but I'm hearing absolutely fantastic things about. Gary Oldman is obviously one of the greatest leading actors of the last several years, so it's always exciting to see him in a role. I'm curious to know from those of you listening. What do you think of the nominations this year? Were there any snubs that you can think of?

Hey, it's Dr. Letitia Wright. And I have to say for the first time in many years, I have seen zero of the best pictures. I just haven't seen them, so I'm going to have to take some time, check them out and see what happens. I have been so disappointed in the Oscars in the past that it just didn't interest me a whole lot. But now that Soul is in the best animated film and got some diversity with the actors and actresses

Yeah. So this is going to be an interesting time at the Oscars. I have also not seen that one film similar to Leticia. I did like The Sound of Metal. I'm really excited to and hopeful that Resumed will be able to win that Oscar. I think he was brilliant. I've been a fan of his work, and I think he's really talented from that aspect

The only surprise. I did expect The Five Bloods to be here instead of Judas. But The Five Blood is not Spike Lee's best film. If we could go back in a time machine and correct him not winning for do the right thing, that would make it all up for Spike. But in the meantime, you know, it is what it is in a pandemic year. What more can you ask for?
