Genius marketing: Budweiser sends numbered bottles of beer to each goalkeeper that Messi has scored against

article image placeholderBudweiser send beer to every keeper that has conceded to Lionel Messi
This is the world famous Lionel Messi, a player respected on and off the pitch who has just scored 644 goals, the most ever for one club. This feat is made more and more extraordinary given that they were scored against the best keepers in the world. We know of no other competitors more worthy of celebrating. And they were packaged in these really beautiful cases. Absolutely hilarious. I think we need to see more stuff like this done in sport. I just think it's important to celebrate this guy

Hey, Taylor, I have to agree with you that the Budweiser campaign is great marketing. Just for the record, I worked for Atari, who was owned by Warner Communications and Warner Communications owned the Cosmos, which was the team that played for in New York and New Jersey. I was invited to see him at his last game. They gave me six tickets so that I could take six Atari customers to the game

Howie. Wow. What an incredible story. I'm honestly sort of speechless. I struggle to think of how I would respond in that sort of situation. Granted, I'm a huge fan of the game, but I sort of had a similar experience with one of my favorite guitarists, and I got to sit at a dinner table with him there, like, maybe six of us. And I just remember what it felt like to be in the presence of somebody with that sort of legacy and talent
