Netflix to add video games on its service at no added cost in the next year, report says

They did like words with friends and a few other things. I don't know. It's just kind of a bizarre move doesn't exactly get me excited. I will never play a video game on Netflix. Well, never say never, they say. But I don't know any serious gamers that will play games on Netflix. I kind of fail to understand how that would even work. It's most likely going to be mobile games

Oh it’s called McDonald’s PlayPlace - official according to Google

So they built these weird sort of external arms where you see, like, little gymnastic things. I don't know what you call them. There's probably an official name for those places in McDonald's where there's, like, slides and like, it's like a play room

And then there was another one that was like, Boss Baby interactive. And I didn't watch it because I thought it would just be kind of weird. But I was thinking what would happen if it was like, you press certain buttons on the remote and then the boss, if they would do this or that I was like, That's pretty cool. But a whole entire game station on Netflix. I think that's a little much. I don't know if I would go on

Hello. Hey, Taylor. Never was a gamer. I was more into watching movies. I have a lot of friends that are hardcore Sony PlayStation, Xbox and everything else. As far as I go back, it's the original Nintendo with Super Mario Brothers and loved all those original games. But I don't think Netflix is smart for doing this. It's not going to save them. They need to up their movie game more than video games because gamers are going to get their games anywhere

Bye bye Netflix. Hellooooo PSNow.

I mean, Assassin's Creed. I know that's not EA, but I read another article, not from CNEP or from another one that Assassins Creed is going to be one of the options to have on Netflix. Why crap? Ea does a lot of sports games. But again, why would you want to play a mobile version of the sports game when you can just play it on your PlayStation five or play it on your Xbox One? It's just laughable

As I reflect on that, don't you miss the days where you only hated people on Facebook because they sent you Farmville requests and not because they were members of Killing? Anyway, that's a side issue. I don't see me playing anything on Netflix. And the other thing about that is for me personally, I kind of feel like I'm not really into gaming anymore, and I know that puts me in a minority. I get it. But it's weird

Much ado about nothing!

It just means the guy has that on his resume, right? They're bringing in someone with expertise in mobile gaming and game development. He's not a developer, he's a business guy. He's going to oversee what's happening with the company. So I don't think it's a huge mistake. I think social media and the news is making a mountain out of a molehill

It’s an attempt to recapture lost audiences.

I do play some Nintendo games. I'm not a gamer, so I don't pretend to be an authority in gaming, but I absolutely have no desire to mix my gaming experience with watching television. So I don't know. I guess they can try it. It's nothing but an experiment. Probably. They probably haven't invested that much money in it. I can't imagine they would go hard on something that's untested like this
