Disney - Why??? Moana to be reimagined as a live action film.

I don't really see the purpose of doing a lot of them, and I think that this is no exception to that. It really bothers me that the original film can't exist and have its life in our sort of collective memory without Disney trying to churn more out of it. It's also an indication to me that the Walt Disney Company is really I feel like they're abandoning their tradition in animation, in traditional animation specifically. I mean, they were such pioneers in the industry

You. Hey, Taylor, I really liked this rant that you went on about Moana. I think you have made some really good points. And it is a shame that Disney is moving away from the traditional animation that it has been known for. I think it has been moving away for a while, though. I think, like, you might mention The Princess and the Frog as their kind of best animated film. Then they were sort of acquired by Pixar or Pixar acquired or who acquired?

But having said that, I guess the best way to kind of sum up this move by Disney is Disney's got a Disney. And ultimately, almost every movie studio is now a corporation or umbrella by one in some way, shape, or form. And Disney's not exactly doing anything new. Many studios have the same playbook. As far as if if we've hit a point where we think we've nailed it, we're just going to keep doing that until we can't

As an adult, I'm bowling in the theaters because it's such a nice visual, I would say reminder of how there is a duality that we all live with. And to have a children's movie make you do that think, one, I was a very good movie, and two, like, you know, have humans come into it and ruin it. I'm not looking forward to it. Yes

And it's kind of funny because this live action era that Disney is in, in which they're taking, you know, their animated classics and putting them in in live action is actually part of a practice that they've been doing for many, many years. And that is essentially rereleasing the same movie over and over again. What changed in terms of them being able to do that and continue to add revenue was the distribution model

It. Hey, Matt, thanks for leaving a comment here and for sharing the Yesterorld Entertainment video you did. I love that channel. I subscribed to that channel many, many moons ago. And it's funny because on YouTube, I'm fairly reserved with who I choose to subscribe to. And this is one that was like a definite no brainer to me. Defunct Land also is one that I include in that if you don't know them, check them out as well
