Why would I give my two year old baby, have him scored on something he has not had the proper time to prepare for? I would never do that. And I was feeling so upset. And then this other mother pulled me aside and said, you know why they're doing that? Because they get paid more money to service a child on the spectrum. I kind of was getting that vibe, but hear her say that really put it in stone for me

When your child has extra needs, why do schools try to force certain diagnoses on kids??? Politics and money ?

So sorry you’re experiencing this…im an RBT

And we the schools, they do have special educators, but at least here they don't specialize specifically in autism. So what I have learned is that in the school setting, oftentimes there's not enough certified licensed special educators that can work with children with certain type of special needs. That's where we come in as RBTs. We come in, except we don't actually really go into the school
