So here I am again. After spending one week with students, I'm still contemplating leaving the field of education. But for the moment, I will stay. And I choose to work on my self career career while I am still teaching. And so my question for everyone today is what are the ways that you take care of yourself? What are the ways that you maintain your sanity? What are the ways that you are able to bring down your stress levels? Do you meditate?

I Plan to win 💪🏾, literally a plan lol @tashr03

But I also understand, as I'm learning, teacher turnover and it's an incredibly difficult job sometimes. It's not a lot of resources and you're not just teaching, you're just dealing with many levels of challenges, oppressions, barriers, things like that. I just send my energy, my optimism, and my hope and my prayers for you to have a really strong school year and either emerge invigorated in your path here or you know what?

@tashr03

Incrementally getting worse by the second has become such a difficult job that most teachers can't do it because there's an added pressure of working in a system that doesn't have the support systems for those types of behaviors and issues. So we don't even have the support systems that schools have. We don't have guidance counselors, we don't have career counselors. We don't have a deputy principal. We don't have a principal. We have zilch. We just have the teachers
