Welcome to the Mask Off Station

Hey, everybody. Welcome, welcome. Welcome to the Mask Off Station. This station, it is exactly what it sounds like. This is a place that you can come and really remove the mask. I know a lot of us wear masks daily. You know, we we put on a presentation of us being a certain way that we honestly don't feel on the inside. And so we do these things because we don't have a place to vent

And if they had a bad experience before of letting it all go and taking off their mask and being real and not being received, it pushed them further back in. So I really honor your invitation and I love your vibe, and I think it's going to resonate with people. I also think that the continuity of it is important how people feel the continuation of connection and encouraged and alive because of the space you create. So thank you for creating the space

But I just wanted to be to the point where at whatever somebody's level of understanding and acceptance of where they are, that's okay on this station, because sometimes we feel like we have to be at a certain level to share. We have to be at a certain level of freedom or emotional stability in order to participate in something. And ultimately, it may be someone who just listens for a while and literally is getting built up through encouragement because other people were strong enough to share

I mean, lately the headlines are drawing us in, right? We're all talking about the things that are so political and yet so personal, like abortion and gun control. And those are big places where we tend to want to open up and rant. But I also am curious to see other conversations that are more tender and less amplified but equally as important that affect our lives. So. Yeah, thanks. Looking forward

I feel like sometimes these invitations to share exactly how you are in the moment can come with a sort of like heaviness of heart. And of course, I think sometimes it is like that. And that is I don't know, I guess usually the time when you most would like someone to hear

I thank you for inviting us to be able to do so, to be open and honest without being judged, without any negative feedback so far, me starting doing my post here on Swell. Whatever topic I bring up is always a positive outlining and I always get positive feedback or whatever from people that listen to whatever I post

That was very well said. You know, I couldn't have said that any better myself. I feel like people forget whenever something is happening to them or being something induced something to happen, that they forget that there's so many other people in this world that they don't even know that are either going through the same thing, even people around them that are going through the same thing, because just like how they're hiding it, others are hiding it too

First of all, thank you for your response. You are absolutely right. Sometimes we just get so caught up in what we're going through that it kind of blinds us to the fact that other people are going through as well. And Nicki can be a support group for us. And so again, thank you for coming. You're so awesome
