Hikikomori: acute social withdrawal

article image placeholderUploaded by @Tancy_0818
So many of them are drop outs of school and leave their jobs or sometimes they just don't attend their schools even though they are registered. However, these people aren't exactly going through a mental wellness like there is mental retardation or bipolar disorder, et cetera, et cetera. It's not necessary that they are going through these disorders and that's why a different term was given to them. They exclude their loved ones from their lives as well. Like they cut off these people from their lives

Hikikomori is a sociological phenomena in Japan. This word refers to both the crisis and the people going through it. #sayitonswell #isolation

Interesting that it's so common that there's an actual name given to it. And I'd wonder more to why specifically here in this region in Japan. And then also for how long did you manage all the way back in the thanks share what info you got, please

Heathanishka. Thank you. That was actually very great and informative as well. I actually knew about the accurate social withdrawal in Japan, which is going on since 1990. But I didn't know you that it was caused by the economic crisis and also many other details that you told which were new to me. So, yeah, thanks for that

I wouldn't say it was like the proper cause, but I would say it was one of the very big causes for people to feel a certain way and feel like they need to isolate themselves. It's started around that time. Thank you so much for replying. And I'll be sharing more information on this. So if you are interested, please do listen of that. And yeah, thank you so much. I hope you have a great day. Bye
