Haters and Back handed compliments

article image placeholderUploaded by @TalkswithDoll
And me, I'm like, So you're trying to tell me something to make me feel uncomfortable. So now I'm going to make you feel uncomfortable because I'm like, why are you looking at my social media if you're not following me? That's weird, number one. Number two, a comment was made about my hair, right? And I was just kind of like I addressed it right there and then. I feel like you should not bottle up your emotions

Like somebody saying, I hear men say this all the time, well, why don't you walk after dark? Why don't you do this? Or why you do that. Like a man being angry that women don't make eye contact or enough eye contact, or that they don't ask them questions

So women always have to fight for their place, for their respect, for everything. And you will not catch me walking in the dark at night, like, no, not happening anytime soon. But it is one of those things where I honestly feel that people sometimes will say anything to see a reaction. And I do see this a lot when it comes to women empowerment, we're supposed to be supporting each other

To definitely agree with you. Backhead and compliments are not cool. There are so many insecure people in this world. I have had both men and women say those to me, and it's just someone's way of expressing their insecurity. So, no, you don't have to deal with it. Just walk away and be like, you're not worth my energy. But definitely an interesting topic. And good food for thought. Thanks. Have a good day. Bye

I had all my surgeries and things like that, and so I was feeling better, but I was still slim from all the weight I had lost from being sick. And I ran into a church member at my parents church who was just blown away at how much weight I had lost and was telling me how good I looked. But then he followed up with how he remembered how he made this gesture about how big my face was and how big I used to be before and how good I look now

And a lot of people have the audacity to comment on weight, or like, if they see you losing weight, they're so like, oh. And to be honest, I feel like, yes, you're supposed to be healthy. You're supposed to be healthy or whatnot. But I feel it's not a place for anybody to talk about another person's weight specifically just because they don't know what's going on
