Protecting your Peace

article image placeholderUploaded by @TalkswithDoll
You do not need to engage when you feel that somebody has come to destroy your piece. A lot of people are very passionate, and I used to be that type of person where if someone started a rumor, I was going to clear my name. But when you have an identity and you know who you are and you see the situation with clarity and you do not allow your emotions to get the best of you, you're not going to give that person the satisfaction of taking you out of character

I have to be social in order for me to feel like now I'm in the fold of everybody else within the company that I'm working for or that I'm working with. I don't need that. It's unnecessary. We have our own minds operating, our own thoughts, our own emotions. I'm so dug deep into while I'm working on planning, while I'm working on thinking of other ways to get through other things

But if you start protecting your peace even before you encounter those people, and you ask God to help you in those situations, he definitely will. And you will learn that sometimes the reaction that you get from people when you are silent, when you don't give in or don't succumb under whatever it is that they're trying to put you under, you are released, you are truly free, and you get to realize that it's more about you than it is about them
