Intro cont.

And when she walked me through, as she said, Tell me your love story, and we started, I thought, oh, my gosh, I have to let everyone know the profile of the abuser and what that journey and what the grooming of that looks like. I believe in the importance of names and I wanted to name my company something meaningful. And the word resilience was in my spirit. And so I didn't want it to be so evident of it being resilient

@Priya_swell_ forms of domestic violence

Hi Priya. Great question. There are so many different forms of domestic violence. Commonly people hear the word domestic violence and they immediately think physical violence. And yes, domestic violence can include physical, physical violence of the other person. Physical violence also includes damaging property and the space that you guys are in. So think throwing dishes or breaking furniture, punching a hole or holes in the wall or damaging carpet or damaging a vehicle, those are all in the category of physical violence

Thank you so much, ma'am, thanks a lot for telling us about the different forms of domestic violence as this word is not so great to be heard and this is really not so appreciating that we are just facing these type of things in the society, in the country and the world. But no one can do anything regarding this because it's all about the mindset which anyone is having in the family or whatever situation they are having

@Priya_swell_ domestic violence roots are pervasive

There is a mindset that a woman possibly must have done something to deserve having violence inflicted upon her in whatever shape or form. If someone received comments from their tribe even, or the community or society that says, perhaps you should have been kinder, perhaps you should have maybe done A, B or C to not make your significant other upset or mad or angry

So what is the last situation to that person who is on the way of bearing all these s**** in their life? Like as you have told about yourself? First of all, I am very, very sorry that you suffered from these type of things in your life. I think none of the women should suffer with these type of things in their life because they are also the human being like men are and they really deserve the appreciation and love from the God

The third step is for the survivor to make sure that they really vet their tribe. Because there are times where people who are experiencing domestic violence believe that there are people in their life that they can trust to tell about their exit plan or what they are going through, so that they can be a part of their exit plan. And that person will go back and tell the abuser step by step what this person is doing and thinking, which it heightens their safety risk

Thanks a lot, Ma'am, for sharing such an important board of deals with us. Anyone who is facing this type of harassment in their life, they will definitely get benefited from this. Whatever numbers you have shared had over here that were so impactful and valuable at last, I would love to thank you a lot that you really took time to have a deep conversation with me over the topic and hope we will have a lot of discussions over the impactful pieces of topics whenever it is to be so

@Priya_swell_ Its not ok.

A sister has said that I need to do better as a woman and just accept the abuse. And so obviously what I'm going through must not be as bad as I believe it to be. And that's not true. So if we're hearing this and I can say that firsthand from experience because as I told close family what I was experiencing and I was shocked by their response, it seemed almost as if I said oh I had a car accident, which car accidents are bad

We have really discussed the valid points, ma'am. Yes, you are right that these are really the big threats to the life. And especially when we are talking about someone who has really faced the domestic violence whether that is a man or a woman, they must not be always blamed for anything because they are being affected by the things. They are not responsible for it. We really shouldn't the society really shouldn't blame them. Whatever has been happening with them, they are needed to be consoled
