Thought Experiment (1a): Humans over game.

article image placeholderThought Experiment: No political parties. No platforms.
It's not to say it can't be done or that it isn't done. But I think I read something this morning that was talking about de escalation and this is more in the realm of maybe a one on one or a particular situation. Not politics, parties, et cetera, but a few thoughts in these different things I was reading and one was that when you want to deescalate something, don't look at the words that are being hurled but instead listen to and identify the emotions being felt

Okay, I'm not done thinking about this, but I think I've shifted my perspective. We have politics, parties, whether we like it or not. And so for now, I think I'm just going to run with the fact that they exist, but wondering about how we could change, shift what it means to win, sort of to de escalate and shift direction of things

But I think that's where it is missing that you may exist as a ruling party, but you do have to have enough bandwidth that even if you have somebody that doesn't exist with the same system of beliefs or even beliefs as you and be able to give them that space to be different. I hope I'm making sense and not rambling on and on

@iamatopodcast

Not at all. You are speaking my language, and I'm loving it. Yes. Yes. I can't wrap my head around being in a position of leadership like that and putting blinders on to the graves, the nuance and complexity of human existence, of the things that we value and that we find important, the things that are needed because some group might not need this and another group might need that, whatever it might be. Right

Yeah, we have different systems of belief, but we exist with this. I guess peace with the fact that it's okay if the other person does not have the same system of beliefs that I do. And that comes from deconstructing, constructing a whole lot of things, historical things, trauma. All of these things have to be deconstructed before we can get there. I'm not saying that this is exactly a solution, but it's definitely the right step towards it
@SeekingPlumb

@iamatopodcast (A meandering ramble.)

But we haven't caught up to the advancements of the things that we've created, whether that's constructs of how government should run, whether that's technology, whether that's science, whatever it might be. Yeah, I'm sort of rambling on them all over here, but my brain is fizzling out for the day. But I'm piecing someone these things together and they're helpful. So thank you for that

If I'm not mistaken, I will look that up. But it's not been that long. And when you look at that and within 20 years, like within the First World War, we had the first fighter jets dropping bombs on our enemies. So those technological advancements and that evolution of that technology was not inspired by our evolution per se. It was all driven by money and the need to fight one another. Again, these are not really great reasonings for technological advances

But like you said, the Internet is being helpful in that regard. And I think what I've been hearing rumblings of over the past year or two using social audio and different platforms is people talking about reintegration of I often think about if we look back over recent decades, a lot of information and knowledge has been kept in separate silos. Science in this area, religion in that area, technology in this area, et cetera, et cetera. Everything is kept really neat and tidy in their little boxes

But with social media, camera phones, all of these things, it gave a lot of power to the common people in a way that they could now tell stories. And there was literally nothing that the big media giants could do about it because it was out there on the Internet, and people could see it without it being funneled through mainstream guess media sources. So, yeah, I hope you have a good rest of the day

@iamatopodcast

I spend a lot of time in my head thinking about things, being able to have conversations with others where either someone adds onto a weird idea I have or poke holes in it or shows me something different or anything like this, like, I eat it up, it's all good. And if I need to take time, I'll take time. And if I don't have anything more to say, I won't add on. But please don't feel like you have to apologize for anything
