Was colonization of Africa a 'Net Positive'?

article image placeholderUploaded by @OmegaStrange
Do you really believe that? Do you guys believe that they took less out of these countries and put more they invested more back into these countries? If you look at the rest of Africa, that is a part of the Commonwealth. And compared to Canada, New Zealand, Australia, south Africa is lucky because it's being controlled by Europeans, at least financially. They control the finances, so they control the economy. Excuse me. So yeah, I don't know about that one

But that's the only one I really have heard of there being some controversy around things that this person has said and I really honestly haven't heard anything from the Candace Owens person I am referencing. I haven't really heard much from her recently and I am wondering anyway what I'm going to do. I'm committed to going to the Google and searching it up and seeing if we are speaking of the same person or whoever this person is, what they said before I continue to comment

So in regards of the British and what they did for Africa as a quote unquote net positive, I guess she can probably find some statistical data and evidence to support financial earnings from prior to colonization to after colonization and you basically probably can come out with some working data to support this. But in terms of psychologically, in terms of systematic racism probably, yeah, it's a tough sale. Even any company, I really doubt there is a net positive

So, yeah, candice Amber Owns, that is her name. I hope it is. I'm pretty sure it's Owens. So Candace Owens. But we may be talking about two different people because I put up her photo. So if you don't recognize her in the photo, we may be talking about two different different people. So maybe. Who knows? But yeah. I want to thank you for replying to this post. Peace out. Take care

You never see her debate people one on one with actual facts. She just says things, putting out the air and watch people just swim around the blood in the water like sharks just ready to just pounce on her. And it's kind of like, we just have to learn how to tune her out. We can just shut her down and shut her up. People like that are not whitewashed. They're not brainwashed. They're just ignorant. They say things to get people riled up

I don't know the best phrase to put it. But the sense that we have a better life for you and we're going to impose it upon you. We're going to take you away from your life. We're going to put our life in your world and we're going to occupy it and bring all of our traditions and our ideas and our values. And we're going to just say. This is better than what it would have been if we had not shown up with our glory

But you're a smart, intelligent fella, don't get me wrong. But you can pronounce some words. Sometimes I'm like, how does he not know how that word is pronounced? It's like you hear people say it. You should be be able to easily say it yourself. But that's just that des Moines, Iowa in you, bro. It just will never go away

African American in the room is another level. And so, yeah, that was just my last night when I finally got home and gave my son some one on one time and cooked to dinner and walked the dog. And I was like, I am going to listen to a few swell cast. This will complete my day. So thank you for tolerating my rambling it's

Hey, man, I so, so cannot stand Candace Owens. That is indeed Candace Owens in all of her hideous glory. Do we call it glory? I think we should call it at shame. We can't give anybody like Candace Owens the time of day. I mean, that's the reality here. She news very well what she's doing. She's good buddies. Ben Shapiro somebody we've actually spoken about a lot on this platform lately. She's a pretty sick lady

No. The British Empire went broke after World War II. It went broke. Let's just be honest here. The UK was struggling. They couldn't hold on to these colonies. Now, a lot of the former colonies, they still control, but they couldn't really invest too much into these colonies, so they had to pull out. But like you mentioned, they still have these leaders paying taxes, and that's what they did when they colonized these African countries

I do feel like she's a bit misguided. I don't know. It almost sounds strategic at the same time, so I can't even say she is misguided. I think she knows what game she's playing. I don't know. There's something off about her. I know she loves to talk about how concerned she is about the black community. And I remember she was really talking about rebuilding the black family structure. Yeah. The black family in the black community

So you're profiting off of the controversy that you say, to what? Make money, right? Controversy. Sales was right, so she just found a loophole to keep her name out there, good, bad or different, and to line her pocket. I'm just saying

I'm going to run with it. If it sounds right, I'm going to run with it. If it turns out to be right. I usually do my little homework. Right. I try, but I'm just going to be honest with you. I have no idea. Olive if we happen to have full health care, I'm not sure what the negative effects are. I hear that can destroy the economy. It may destroy these multi billionaires

And I'll either catch up by replaying my recording back, or sometimes I can catch it like, oh, wait a minute now, let me correct myself. Or I'll hear you pronounce it right like, I'll hear you pronounce it in the correct way. And if you're saying it in a different way than I'm saying it, you actually have good English. So I'm like, okay. I must have said it wrong

Hey, her sister. What is up? What is up? What is up? So, yeah, that first photo that I posted, I replaced it with a newer one, a better quality one. Yeah, the first one. The quality of the that photo wasn't that great. The newer one, the new one I posted, is much better. So when you enlarge it, you can actually see her face clearly. It's not all grainy. It's not grainy looking

Quick response will follow up later. I use to like Candice but she says some things that are very surprising.

Hey Omega, first time I'm responding to a swell of yours, I got a little bit of time, not too much time, more so making this swell to remind myself to respond to this. I've also bookmarked this swell

Don't like Candice but to a degree she does have a valid thought that people get attacked simply for voting for the right of they aren't white?

Based on some of the recent videos, articles TikToks everything that I've seen, it seems like there's this idea that if you're any race other than white, automatically you should vote Democrat. Is that interesting? Because Democrat now, again, these are according to some of the articles and videos that I've seen, these are not my own words. It seems as though the party of minorities, if you will, is the party of the Democrats

She says a lot of things that can be a bit silly and a lot of logical fallacies. But I've heard a lot of people on the left that can say silly stuff just as much. And I find with critical thinking and politics is where it can be challenging because some people just feel there is no good of the right at all. There's no such thing as a good Republican. So there's nothing to listen to from that side whatsoever. And that is what makes me a bit nervous

Hey, professor 42, how's it going? I want to thank you for replying to this post Candace owns. We all know she loves to be very direct. Wrecked in her opinions, right? And she states these so called facts. I would say more like arguments. But the problem is her arguments. Half of her arguments are full of how can I say this? I'm trying to paraphrase what Fry Oriole said. Her arguments can be invalid at times

But we also need to understand why we support Democratic why do we support the Democratic Party? So she needs to understand her history a little bit better. And I'm still learning. I'm still learning myself. So I think right now I think we're in a better place. We're in a much better place than we were 80 years ago, right? 80 years ago, it was pretty tough

And then I started reading a little bit about some of the issues in general and how the left felt about it, and I was like, I don't know about that. Let's take a look at the right. Then I looked at the right, saw some good there, but I also saw some bad. And you know what? I think Chris Rock said it best. And anybody can YouTube this, look up like Chris Rock and just put it in politics

Now, for all your listeners out there of whatever race, whatever ethnic background you are, flip the script and put yourself in the shoes of the Africans, of the black man and woman in America living here. And you went through the history of slavery and colonization. Who on this planet thinks that colonization is good for anybody except the colonizer and those who support the colonizer? You know what I mean? And I get it, you know what I mean?

And I hear this argument that, well, it needed to happen for Africa to become modernized. No, it didn't need to happen. For example, the british could have just traded with Nigeria right before they colonized it. They could have traded. They could have had a friendly, open trade of ideas. Same thing with south africa. They could have traded with these africans. Africa has something that the europeans wanted, and they were doing this for a little bit. For some time
