Public speaking, how to overcome it.

Hey guys. I just wanted to ask a question of how people overcome speaking in public. This is why I like this app is because it allows you you to use your voice, but you're not exactly in front of the person. But if anybody's good at this, anybody is bad at this. Drop it down below. Maybe we can help each other out with this type of thing. Yeah, this Google. But people who know just drop your opinion. Thank you. Bye

Great to hear YOUR Voice #voice #growth #purpose #impact

But theater really gave me a voice because I wasn't using my own voice. It was someone else's words, and that was other place to hide. But as I became a songwriter in my later teens and twenties, I had to really stand front and center and use my voice and use my words and sing them. But as I've grown to an older woman, I have found it's really powerful to give myself the time to think before I speak, which is really important

Toastmasters international. And continue with Swell...

And I have seen people when they first started speaking and they take the podium and you can tell how nervous they are. And then now they're just like, okay, I can do this talk and they do a phenomenal job. I can see the growth in a lot of our speakers. So Toastmasters International is a great Avenue. I like what DB perdez said about Swell. This is public speaking. This is public speaking without a face and without you actually being able to see the audience

Even though I'm not the best of public speaking, I think the best way to overcome it is to, you know, break the barriers little by little and just keep doing it a lot like speak a little one day, speak a little more other other day and then progress, maybe just practicing with yourself at home, looking in the mirror pretty cool. Or if you have a friend, maybe you could public speak with your friend because there's a lot more comfort in that. So Yeah

#practiceandplatform

There were times when I would just blank out on stage, but then those were all lessons, and to date, it's not that there are no butterflies in the stomach. I do get a little nervous before a public speaking platform when I'm on it, but it has helped me. There are lots of techniques that I've picked up over the years that have helped me
