Adam did an excellent post on big tech layoffs and the idea that tech exceptionalism is over. It was a fascinating lesson that was a perfect addition to hashtag Newsworthy Week. Thanks, Adam, for sharing. I'm going to link to this well here

It's. Another one of my favorite posts from the week came from Benati. She hosted a wonderful discussion surrounding the BBC's decision to not broadcast an attenborough episode over fear of right wing backlash. This conversation really stood out to me in particular as it came at the same time as a nearly identical situation unfolding with popular football pundit Gary lineker over comments made about the government's mystery treatment of refugees and migrants. Thanks for sparking such an important discussion, Benati, and a timely one at that

And last, but certainly not least, Kurt. Kurt, you shared a fascinating article about a tenured upenn professor who had recently come under fire for racist remarks made in the classroom. I love that this opened things up to a larger discussion about free speech, and specifically where that line is crossed within the confines of the educational system. Thanks for such an interesting post
