Imposter Syndrome!

It's. Good morning and good afternoon to all those listening. As I introduced earlier, I'm Susan McPherson, and today I am embarking on something incredibly unusual for me. I am flying to Miami to join a cruise hosted by, get this, Jennifer Lopez and Richard Branson. It is on virgin voyages, of course, and I will be with 14 other incredibly accomplished women. And I will be speaking on a panel specifically talking about how to build social impact into our careers, period

And I can sort of walk in a confidence that lies in that space, but I don't have to take on anything else. Right? And so I hope for you that maybe if you are seeing the endless ocean in every direction that it can somehow offer you something similar and you can find comfort and confidence in that bubble. And rock you. Just rock you, wishing you all the best professionally and that you have a fabulous time personally

Susan, I had to hop on here first, just the title itself. And then hearing the details of your moment in life and from the lounge, from your soul, spontaneously in this space. I am so moved by how much it hit me. Whoa. It's like having coffee with a friend and you're like, getting into that zone of, oh, my God, can I tell you something? And your friend's like, no, that's so not true about you

Hello. Good morning. Good morning. I am happy that you decided to share on the swells today, because it's so important to expose this imposter syndrome, to speak about it openly, because when we keep things to ourselves, it tends to blow up and gets bigger inside of us. And sometimes it can be be it could immobilize us. And that's not what we wanted to have happen. So I'm so glad that you spoke about this, and congratulations on your invitation

Um, I as a man, statistically, a little background. I'm an organizational psychologist and university professor and freelance writer and, and I'm a male with imposter syndrome. I've been fighting it now approximately six years, and it took going to a place where my education was valued to start to see, and I mean literally start to see, that I was accomplished. I'm in my fifty s. I been teaching at a university level for 15 years
