An Open Letter To My Fellow Survivors A Poem By Elizabeth Gade

You. An open letter to my fellow survivors. A poem by Elizabeth Gade first published by the View magazine. Summer 22 issue. You are not the house of whores trauma built inside of you. They try to fit us into cheap hotel rooms and jail cells and locked wards of hospitals. Slapped us with labels the same way your abuser first slapped you across the face and you ceased to be you in one skin splitting split second as the mind splits to wall off the trauma

Well, that was intense, but to me, that's a good thing. I really, really love the line. Don't bleed on the good carpet. That, to me, is that hit really hard. That was a really good line. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you for sharing this piece with us
