The Great Gatsby

article image placeholderUploaded by @Sumranjs
It almost feels like our society has not changed at all in the last hundred years. And everything depicted in the story the love, the emotions, the dazzle of ceres, the palm and show of the rich and famous, the lust, the greed, the passion and the pursuit of dreams is as relevant and relatable as it was back then. I think there is a Mr. Gatsby amidst us. There is a Daisy I know or have met

But what I also liked about this story was about this book was the story itself. I used to be so drawn to stories where tragic of bittersweet endings. I guess now that I'm older and experienced, I'm not fond of them anymore. Still, I will always have a soft spot for them in my heart. Maybe it's just the drama of being in me now

Hi, Riya. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. I enjoyed listening to how your perspective has shaped over the years regarding this book. I may be one of those few readers who are so late to get a chance to pick this book, but I'm so glad that I did. Finally, you mentioned about the complexity of the characters and all the possibilities. The perhaps and the maybes. The maybes similar conundrums are what simulated my senses too. Like just wonder how Gatsby's life ended
