A first few chapters will take a lot of patience, but once you get past the style of writing, which is, to say the least, eccentric, and you would recognize that you get absorbed in the story of the characters. The author uses different narrative, I would say, techniques to kind of become the first person and then also become a third person, and then somewhere in between, it's all outside the realm of who's writing and who's acting in the novel

I feel like it's easy to think about historical events that are far in the past as affecting a mass of people, but I like taking the magnifying glass and looking at one specific case. But yeah, really cool. This is a cool swell and welcome. It's really nice to have voices that are passionate about books, because I love books and I'm always looking for recommendations. So thank you

So as I start exploring more about how to put my thoughts into words and words into my voice, I'll share here in this platform. And also along with this review of Midnight Children, I also posted another review of Interpreter of Meredith, a collection of short stories that I also so recently finished. So it's there. I hope you will see it on my profile. These are the only two reviews yet, but I'll be posting more

As I said, if you put in the effort, it's such a rewarding book to read. I think I agree with your assessment and what you have put in your review as well. It is worth the effort and the creativity and the imagination and all the different devices he uses from a writing perspective are just a ride that you go on and enjoy

Hey, rh. Thank you so much for going through my review of this book and sharing your thoughts about Silmarashti and his writing style and how that might have changed over the years now that you have picked up his latest book and you're remembering of when you first read it many, many years ago
